John V. Roach Honors College

Natalie Russell

As the old saying goes “where you learn can be as important as what you learn.” Every summer the John V. Roach Honors College at TCU offers their honor students the opportunity to study abroad through a unique program designed for honors students in the John V. Roach Honors College.

The John V. Roach Honors Study Abroad program is more than just visiting another country. The study abroad program is another way TCU students can engage in global citizenship.
Students will get to learn about cultures all over the world. Students are enabled to immerse themselves into different cultures shoes and not just read about it or imagine it. Students who study abroad will get the opportunity to learn beyond the classroom. They will be immersed into another culture where they can gain a deeper understanding of a culture in a way that you cannot get from any lecture, book, show, or movie.
This summer there are two different Honors Abroad trips. The first trip, Cultural Routes, students will go backpacking through Berlin& Munich, Germany, Interlaken, Switzerland, and Cinque Terra, Florence, and Rome, Italy.  Click HERE to find more information on Cultural Routes.
The second trip, Cultural Pathways, students will travel to Warsaw and Krakow, Poland, Budapest, Hungary, and Prague, Czech Republic. Click HERE to find more information on Cultural Pathways.

Honors College students who choose to Study Abroad through one of the two programs will get classroom credit and will fulfill the Honors curriculum requirements for Cultural Visions.

  3. Love the pictures and great job of listening the places they are going (I have never heard of TCU students going to some of these places to study).

  5. I enjoyed how you talked about parts of the Honors College that I would never think about. It gives people a different perspective on the Honors College. Since most people only hear about the classes they can take and not the other opportunities they have while being in the Honors College.
