The New Music Age

Erin Arnim
Most people today listen to pop star TaylorSwift, all-star rapper Eminem and rock sensation Fall Out Boy.

They are talented musicians, but what people are missing in their IPod playlists is the simplicity and elegance of classical music. Classical music is not only lovely to listen to it has health benefits, aids in focus and even helps you sleep,
If you don’t believe me check out this article:

To bring some classical music into your life look no further than Clark Educational Services (CES). CES is a local nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting music students with housing and finances. It does more than help music students with money donated by sponsors; it provides venues for the students to perform.

CES needs all the help it can get from the local Fort Worth community through donations, venues and performance attendance.

Look at these bright faces and tell me that you don’t want to help in anyway you can. You can’t it’s impossible!

Why you should care about Clark Educational Services:

  •  Everyone needs a little classical music in life.
  •  It is an amazing nonprofit that helps students in need with housing and school expenses.
  • Supporting these students is a way to give back to an organization and students that give so much!

Alejandro Gomez, a student violinist assisted by CES, stated, “In 4 years at TCU, I was able to depend on CES for help with my books, special needs and more than I can explain.”

Founder, Mary Clark Smith, stated, “I wanted to provide a way for the international music student to receive money legally and help more elementary school children receive outstanding music educational programs.”

As you can see CES has provided amazing opportunities for its students to excel in their music careers as they help the local community along the way.

  2. I like how you related musicians from today to classical music. It made it relevant and kept my attention. CES is an organization more people should know about at TCU.

  3. I like this blog because it does a good job at grabbing the attention of readers who may not be familiar with classical music and then explaining why we should care about CES.
